Why We're Doing This

Over the years Code2040 has helped so many folks break into tech and find success in an industry that has largely left the Black and Latinx community out of the next frontier of human innovation. But the future of tech looks like the very people who have systematically been left out of it. Black and Latinx culture drive so much of the cutting edge movements sweeping the world today - tech included. The Future belongs to us. In order to get there, we want to partner with those who Code2040 has nurtured, supported, and guided to make that happen. 

This brunch will be the launch of our campaign to build an official alumni network by re-establishing connection with our Code2040 Alumni, creating a consistent communication space, and sharing the vision of what it looks like to support each other, stay connected, inspire each other, and raise up the future of Black and Latinx tech professionals.
